“Moana” Soundtrack Certified Platinum In The United States

The popular soundtrack to “Moana” officially attains platinum status.

The soundtrack to Disney’s animated film “Moana” recently crossed the platinum threshold in the United States.

According to the RIAA, “Moana” garnered its platinum certification on April 14, 2017.

The award confirms at least 1 million in US album units. Each unit is equal to 1 paid download, 10 track sales or 1500 track streams.

“Moana,” which peaked at #2 on the Billboard 200, features the Auli’i Cravalho and Alessia Cara versions of “How Far I’ll Go.” Both are certified gold in the US.
