Ratings: HBO’s “Big Little Lies” Climbs To Another High

For the second straight week, HBO’s “Big Little Lies” rose to new highs in adults 18-49 and average viewership.

According to live+same-day data posted by Showbuzz, Sunday’s “Big Little Lies” drew a 0.54 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 1.39 million overall viewers.

Last week’s episode drew a 0.44 in the demo and 1.17 million in viewership; at the time, the numbers were its best yet.

It should be noted that the majority of the “Big Little Lies” audience is not watching the linear TV broadcast on a live+same-day basis. While the show is typically drawing about 1 million live+same-day TV viewers, HBO notes that the episodes are grossing over 7 million total audience members with DVR encores, streaming and on-demand included.

Sunday’s “Big Little Lies” led into “Girls,” which drew a 0.30 adults 18-49 rating and 0.68 million average viewers. Last week’s episode posted a 0.26 in the demo and 0.58 million in viewership.

HBO’s Sunday also included “Crashing” (0.19, 0.45 million this week vs. 0.11, 0.32 million).
