Ratings: “When We Rise” Endures Another Decline For Part 3

Part three of “When We Rise” trailed the second installment in adults 18-49 and viewership. It did, however, post a gain in adults 25-54.

According to national data posted by Showbuzz, Thursday’s installment averaged a 0.4 adults 18-49 rating and 2.00 million in viewership from 9PM-11PM.

Airing on Wednesday, part two drew a 0.6 adults 18-49 rating and 2.02 million in viewership.

Indicated by the comparatively bigger fall in adults 18-49, part three skewed older than part two. Indeed, Thursday’s 0.7 adults 25-54 rating tops the 0.6 drawn Wednesday.

Of further note is the fact that Thursday’s “When We Rise” aired did not receive the marquee lead-in support (“The Bachelor” for part one on Monday, “Modern Family” for part two on Wednesday) afforded to the previous installments.

It instead aired out of a one-hour “When We Rise” documentary special. Interestingly the special outdrew the actual miniseries — it posted a 0.5 rating and drew 2.65 million viewers in the 8PM hour.

Even on a night in which CBS primarily aired re-runs, part three of “When We Rise” tied The CW’s “Riverdale” as Thursday night’s lowest-rated broadcast network program (in adults 18-49).
