The Band Perry’s “Stay In The Dark” Impacting Hot AC Radio On February 27

The lead single from The Band Perry’s first mainstream/pop album will soon impact the hot adult contemporary radio format.

Interscope confirms that “Stay In The Dark” will go for Hot AC radio adds on February 27.

In conjunction with the announcement, Interscope touted that “Stay In The Dark” is already receiving support from San Francisco’s Alice@97.3 and Star 101.3.

According to Mediabase, the major market Hot AC stations played “Stay In The Dark” 30 times and 10 times over the past seven days, respectively.

“Stay In The Dark” will not be the first The Band Perry single released to Hot AC radio. The trio’s breakthrough hit “If I Die Young” reached the Top 5 at the format, while recent single “Live Forever” earned a Top 30 peak on the Mediabase Hot AC chart.

Befitting The Band Perry’s new mainstream/pop focus, it will nonetheless be the trio’s first single to impact Hot AC without first going to country radio.

“Stay In The Dark” appears on The Band Perry’s forthcoming “My Bad Imagination.”
