J. Cole’s “4 Your Eyez Only” Projected For 400K+ US Album Sales; Over 550K Total Units

One of the year’s last major album releases is pacing to be one of its biggest.

Based on early data, Hits Daily Double projects J. Cole’s “4 Your Eyez Only” will sell roughly 400-425,000 pure US copies this week. It will easily claim #1 on the Billboard Top Album Sales chart.

The inclusion of TEA (track sales/10) and SEA (track streams/1500) should yield a first-week consumption total of around 550-575,000 units. More than enough for #1 on the Billboard 200, the tally will rank as the year’s third-best opening week figure of the year.

Only Drake’s “Views” (1.04 million units) and Beyonce’s “Lemonade” (653,000 units) posted bigger opening weeks.

“4 Your Eyez Only” is set to improve upon J. Cole’s previous release “2014 Forest Hills Drive,” which sold 353,000 copies and generated 371,000 in first-week consumption during the corresponding week in 2014.
