L+SD Ratings: “American Horror Story: Roanoke” Slips This Week

From a live+same-day standpoint, Wednesday’s “American Horror Story: Roanoke” suffered week-to-week losses in adults 18-49 and total viewership.

According to L+SD data posted by Showbuzz, Wednesday’s “Roanoke” drew a 1.43 adults 18-49 rating and 2.82 million total viewers. The numbers trail the 1.69 rating and 3.08 million viewership figure attained by last week’s episode.

Last week’s episode, notably, topped the corresponding “AHS: Hotel” episode in adults 18-49. That was not the case this week, at least in terms of the live+same-day performance — the fourth episode of “Hotel” drew a 1.60.

The week-to-week decline does not change the fact that “American Horror Story” remains a very strong live+same-day cable performer. The live+same-day figures, moreover, only tell part of the story. “AHS” is an enormous draw with DVR and multi-platform viewers.

This week’s “Roanoke” was cable’s #2 original in the key demo; the NL Wild Card game drew a stronger 2.19 rating.
