Ratings: FOX’s “Pitch” Dips In Week Two, “Rosewood” Rises In Demo

While the declines were not dramatic, FOX’s “Pitch” did suffer week two losses in adults 18-49 and total viewership.

According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, Thursday’s “Pitch” drew a 1.0 adults 18-49 rating and 3.69 million total viewers.

Last week’s series premiere posted a 1.1 and 4.23 million total viewers.

FOX led into “Pitch” with “Rosewood,” which outperformed last week’s season premiere in adults 18-49. This week’s episode drew a 0.8 rating and 3.60 million total viewers; last week’s garnered a 0.7 and 3.65 million.

Assessing the “Pitch” performance is tricky. On the one hand, the live+same-day numbers are normatively weak, especially given the hype afforded to this series. On the other hand, the show is not much weaker than anything — save for “Grey’s Anatomy” — being offered by the major networks on Thursday night.

“Pitch” also deserves some credit for building on its “Rosewood” lead-in.
