DJ Khaled & Drake’s “For Free” Remains #1 At Rhythmic Radio; Drake & Rihanna’s “Too Good” Hits #4

The reign continues for DJ Khaled’s “For Free (featuring Drake).” The “Major Key” single tops the Mediabase rhythmic airplay chart for a third consecutive week.

“For Free” received ~6,158 spins during the August 21-27 tracking period. The count trails last week’s mark by 110 but keeps “For Free” comfortably positioned atop the chart.

The closest competition comes from Tory Lanez’ “LUV,” which rises from #5 to #2. This week’s runner-up received ~5,266 tracking period plays (+778).

Drake’s former rhythmic #1 (and reigning urban #1) “Controlla” drops one spot to #3 with ~4,968 weekly spins (-457). His “Too Good (featuring Rihanna),” on the other hand, rises three places to #4. The song, which is making its first Top 5 appearance, received ~4,604 weekly plays.

This week’s spin count bests last week’s by 840, marking rhythmic radio’s greatest weekly airplay gain.

Down two places, Rihanna’s “Needed Me” takes #5. The former #1 received ~4,507 weekly spins (-549).
