Gucci Mane’s “Everybody Looking” Wins Sales Race; Drake Tops BB200 For 12th Week (Updated)

Update: Billboard has made the news official: Gucci Mane’s “Everybody Looking” debuts at #1 on the Top Album Sales chart, while Drake’s “Views” leads the Billboard 200 for a 12th non-consecutive week.

“Everybody Looking” sold what Billboard reports as 43K US sales during its first week of release. That easily ranks as the week’s top pure sales figure.

The inclusion of TEA (track sales/10) and SEA (track streams/1500) brings the mark to 68K units, which is enough for #2 on the Billboard 200 consumption chart. Drake’s “Views” tops the chart with 85K in total consumption units.

“Views” has missed #1 only once during its thirteen weeks of availability.

The balance of the Billboard 200 Top 5: twenty one pilots’ “Blurryface” (#3, 36K units), Rihanna’s “ANTI” (#4, 33K), and “Epic AF” (#5, 31K).

Consistent with mid-week projections, Gucci Mane’s “Everybody Looking” wins the weekly US album sales race. Drake’s “Views,” however, generated more total weekly consumption.

According to Hits Daily Double, “Everybody Looking” sold approximately 44,390 pure US copies during the tracking week. The count more than doubles that of the week’s #2 seller, giving “Everybody Looking” a convincing victory in the pure sales race.

Due Sunday, Billboard’s more authoritative data may differ slightly from that reported by Hits. The discrepancy will not, however, change the overall outcome: “Everybody Looking” will debut at #1 on Top Album Sales.

With TEA (track sales/10) and SEA (track streams/1500) added to the pure sales total, Gucci Mane’s album generated 70,139 in weekly US consumption units. That figure should position “Everybody Looking” at #2 on the Billboard 200.

With approximately ~83,288 in tracking week consumption units, Drake’s “Views” will secure a twelfth, non-consecutive week at #1.

This week’s other notable pure sales performers: “Kidz Bop 32” (~17,985 pure sales), Beyonce’s “Lemonade” (~16,701 pure sales), “Views” (~15,569 pure sales), and Adele’s “25” (~14,215 pure sales)

This week’s other notable consumption performers: twenty one pilots’ “Blurryface” (~34,613 total units), Rihanna’s “ANTI” (~31,837 total units), and Sia’s “This Is Acting” (~29,881 total units).
