Rihanna’s “Needed Me” Reaches #1 At Rhythmic Radio, Stays #1 At Urban Radio

As it enjoys a third consecutive week atop the Mediabase urban radio airplay chart, Rihanna’s “Needed Me” officially reaches the top of the rhythmic listing.

Played ~6,841 times during the July 10-16 tracking period (+575), “Needed Me” rises one place to #1 on this week’s Mediabase rhythmic chart. It seizes the throne from Kent Jones’ “Don’t Mind,” which slips to #2 after spending the past two weeks on top.

“Don’t Mind” received ~6,121 tracking week spins (-512).

Drake’s “One Dance (featuring WizKid & Kyla)” holds at #3 on the rhythmic chart with ~5,388 weekly plays (-326). His “Controlla” directly follows at #4. Up one place from last week’s position, “Controlla” received ~5,347 weekly spins (+920).

Drake also appears on the #5 song. DJ Khaled’s “For Free (featuring Drake)” grabs that position on the strength of ~4,573 spins (+623). It was #9 last week.

— “Needed Me” meanwhile extends its urban radio reign to three weeks. The “ANTI” track received ~4,637 urban spins during the official tracking week (+123).

“One Dance” holds at #2 with ~4,174 spins (+106), while Beyonce’s “Sorry” rises one place to #3 on the strength of ~3,880 plays (+13).

Kent Jones’ “Don’t Mind” slips to #1 with ~3,705 (-201), and Future’s “Wicked” holds at #5 courtesy a spin count of ~3,581 (+268).
