ScHoolboy Q’s “Blank Face LP” Pacing To Win Sales Race; Drake To Reclaim #1 On Billboard 200

As the conclusion of the July 8-14 tracking week draws near, it is becoming safe to conclude that ScHoolboy Q’s “Blank Face LP” will finish as the leader in pure US sales.

Drake’s “Views,” meanwhile, is headed back to #1 on the Billboard 200 consumption chart.

Hits Daily Double projects “Blank Face LP” to sell 50-54,000 pure US copies this week. The figure will easily rank as the week’s best. Chevelle’s “The North Corridor” and Switchfoot’s “Where The Light Shines Through,” which are vying for #2, are expected to sell 28-31,000 and 26-29,000, respectively.

“Views,” meanwhile, is on pace to generate 88-93,000 in total US consumption units (pure sales + track sales/10 + track streams/1500). That will give it the comfortable edge over Q’s album, which is set to post an opening week consumption figure of 70-75,000.

This will mark the Drake album’s tenth week on top. It had spent its first nine weeks at #1 before slipping to #2 this past week.
