“Walk The Prank” Ratings Soar For Disney Channel Episode With Sofia Carson, Sabrina Carpenter

Airing on Disney Channel rather than its lower-profile Disney XD home and featuring “Adventures In Babysitting” co-stars Sofia Carson and Sabrina Carpenter, Friday’s “Walk The Prank” predictably posted the series’ best adults 18-49 and total viewership numbers yet.

According to national data posted by Showbuzz, Friday’s episode drew a 0.24 adults 18-49 rating and 1.44 million total live+same-day viewers.

The numbers represent clear series highs; prior to this week’s episode, the top performer in adults 18-49 was the April 20 episode, which drew a 0.15 on Disney XD. The previous leader in total viewership was the April 13 episode, which reached 0.70 million total live+same-day audience members.

Friday’s broadcast, which aired at 9PM and was the series’ fifth installment, also set a clear series high in adults 18-34 (0.23).

In addition to the advantage of airing on Disney Channel rather than Disney XD, Friday’s “Walk The Prank” benefited from synergistic scheduling. The episode, which featured Sabrina Carpenter of “Girl Meets World,” aired directly after an original edition of the popular sitcom (which drew a 0.34 adults 18-49 rating and 1.63 million total viewers in the 8:30PM half hour).

Sofia Carson, best known to Disney Channel fans for her work in the hit made-for-TV-movie “Descendants,” added star wattage to the episode.

Carpenter and Carson co-star in the aforementioned “Adventures In Babysitting,” which airs this Friday.

Disney Channel’s Friday lineup also included 8PM series “Stuck In The Middle” (0.24 adults 18-49 rating, 1.30 million viewers) and 9:30PM’s “Backstage” (0.22 adults 18-49 rating, 1.26 million viewers).
