While Def Jam has yet to initiate formal promotion — or even confirm an impact date — for the song, Alessia Cara recently told Idolator that “Scars To Your Beautiful” would be the third single from her debut album “Know-It-All.”
Jacksonville’s 95.1 WAPE FM recently began spinning the single.
According to Mediabase, WAPE played the song nine times during the June 12-18 tracking period. Five of the nine spins came within the evening daypart.
The early “Scars To Your Beautiful” airplay comes as previous single “Wild Things” begins to decline at pop radio. The song, which fell from #13 to #16 on last week’s Mediabase pop airplay chart, slips another three places to #19 on this week’s listing. Its tracking week airplay was down by 1,354 spins from the previous week’s count.
