ABC’s “Uncle Buck” Premiere Posts Solid Ratings

ABC’s “Uncle Buck” got off to a very promising start.

According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, Tuesday’s premiere averaged a 1.5 adults 18-49 rating and 5.24 million total viewers during the 9PM hour.

The numbers, which would be solid during the regular television season, are very impressive for a summer comedy.

Among adults 18-49, “Uncle Buck” was the night’s #2 network television program. Only NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” fared better in the key demo.

Its demo rating also built solidly from that of its “To Tell The Truth” lead-in. The 8PM “Truth” drew a 1.0 in adults 18-49.
