“Game Of Thrones” Falls, Still Dominates Sunday Ratings Race

Airing on the eve of Memorial Day, Sunday’s “Game Of Thrones” predictably suffered week-to-week losses in adults 18-49 and total viewership. It nonetheless still comfortably ranked as the television’s #1 Sunday program in adults 18-49.

It also was the night’s most watched program.

According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, Sunday’s “Thrones” drew a 3.25 adults 18-49 rating and 6.71 million total viewers. Last week’s episode posted a 3.96 and 7.89 million total viewers.

The Memorial Day Weekend drop is nothing new for the HBO juggernaut, which suffered corresponding losses in seasons two and five. The first season’s MDW episode held fairly steady, while “Game Of Thrones” took the weekend off in seasons three and four.

HBO’s Sunday also included “Silicon Valley” (0.88, 1.62 million) and “Veep” (0.43, 0.98 million).
