Disturbed’s “The Sound Of Silence” Holds #1 at Active Rock; Bring Me The Horizon, Red Sun Rising Top 5

Disturbed’s cover of Simon and Garfunkel’s classic “The Sound Of Silence” continues to rule active rock radio.

Spun ~2,073 times during the March 13-19 tracking week (+37), “Sound Of Silence” earns a third straight week at #1 on the Mediabase active rock airplay chart.

Not simply a radio hit, “Sound Of Silence” is selling considerably well for an active rock song in 2016. It is currently #26 on the all-genre US iTunes sales chart.

— A weekly spin count of ~1,667 (+98) keeps 3 Doors Down’s “In The Dark” at #2 on the chart. Again #3, Muse’s “Reapers” received ~1,626 weekly spins (+132).

Up four places, Bring Me The Horizon’s “Happy Song” grabs #4 on the strength of its ~1,367 tracking week spins (+91). Red Sun Rising’s “Emotionless,” which also rises four places, takes #5 with ~1,278 spins (+131).
