Currently in its third week on the Mediabase pop radio airplay chart, Fifth Harmony’s “Work From Home (featuring Ty Dolla $ign)” is on track to reach the Top 20.
“Work From Home” received 2,885 spins during the first four days of the March 6-12 tracking week. Up 58.9% from last week’s count, the tally positions “Work From Home” at #19 on Mediabase’s building airplay chart.
Since “Work From Home” only faces one obvious potential threat from below, it should have no trouble retaining a Top 20 position through the close of tracking.
Meghan Trainor’s “NO,” that conceivable threat, is currently #20 on the building chart. The song, which officially entered the market last Friday (and debuted in the official Top 30 after just a day-and-a-half of airplay), has thus far received 2,674 spins during the current tracking week.
The unpredictable nature of a new release makes it difficult to guarantee the song will remain in the Top 20 through the close of tracking — especially since Taylor Swift’s “New Romantics” is close behind with 2,615 spins — but things are looking very good (as noted, it even stands a chance of leapfrogging “Work From Home”). Radio has thus far demonstrated considerable enthusiasm for the lead “Thank You” single.
