Fifth Harmony was formed on July 27, 2012.
As an homage to that date, the group’s sophomore album will be called “7/27.”
The group officially confirmed the news — and shared the cover — via its social media accounts Wednesday night. Consistent with reports that emerged earlier in the week, the new album is scheduled for a May 20 release.
That launch date is just under three full months away, but the first taste of the album is coming this week.
The taste comes in the form of lead single “Work From Home,” which is set to arrive on digital storefronts this Friday. “Work From Home” is also scheduled to receive high-profile opening day radio exposure; numerous iHeartMedia stations have confirmed plans to play the song hourly on 2/26.
