On the heels of its first season finale, NBC predictably ordered a second season of comedy “Superstore.”
“We’re thrilled to renew a show that’s incredibly funny and relatable, full of great characters brought to life by this incredible cast, writers and producers,” said NBC’s Jennifer Salke. “After such a successful first season, we look forward to seeing more of the wonderful America Ferrera, Ben Feldman and the rest of this hilarious cast in season two.”
NBC’s announcement specifically touts the show’s average Live+7 numbers (2.1 adults 18-49 rating, 6.9 million viewers), but the show has also been performing respectably — and fairly consistently — on a live+same-day basis.
The network also touts its resonance with upscale viewers. On a live+3 basis, the show indexes at a 112 for adults 18-49 living in households with incomes over $100,000; 100 represents an average concentration.
