Andra Day’s “Rise Up” Posts 524% Gain in Weekly Sales, Ellie Goulding’s “LMLYD” Up 168%

Andra Day and Ellie Goulding’s well-received Grammy Awards performance resulted in significant sales gains for the relevant songs.

Andra Day’s “Rise Up,” which represented one half of the duet, sold what Nielsen Music reports as 21,663 paid US downloads during the February 12-18 tracking week. The tally, which results in #54 on the Digital Songs chart and brings its cumulative total to 143,195, bests the prior week’s mark by a massive 524%.

Given its age — as far as mainstream visibility goes — and the fact that it had already sold over 2.5 million copies, Goulding’s “Love Me Like You Do” was obviously not going to enjoy a percentage gain of the same magnitude.

It did, however, post a very big gain.

“Love Me Like You Do” sold 13,840 paid US downloads during the tracking week. Enough for #93 on Digital Songs, the count bests the previous week’s mark by 168%.

Through February 18, the song boasted a cumulative US digital sales total of 2,610,738.
