Thomas Rhett’s “Die A Happy Man” Extends Reign On Hot Country Songs

Even as its radio presence fades, Thomas Rhett’s “Die A Happy Man” remains the hottest country song in America.

The song, which is the second single from Rhett’s “Tangled Up,” tops the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart for a fourteenth straight week — and fifteenth week overall.

It does not, however, lead any of the individual component charts.

After spending several weeks at #1 on Country Digital Songs, “Die A Happy Man” cedes its throne to Little Big Town’s Grammy Awards-boosted “Girl Crush.” It remains #2 on Country Streaming Songs (beneath Sam Hunt’s “Break Up In A Small Town”) and slips to #8 on Country Airplay, a chart led by Kelsea Ballerini’s “Dibs.”

Thanks to big sales and streaming gains, Carrie Underwood’s “Heartbeat” soars four places to #2 on the overall Hot Country Songs chart. The aforementioned “Break Up In A Small Town” slips one place to #3, while Luke Bryan’s “Home Alone Tonight (featuring Karen Fairchild)” (#4, -1) and Cole Swindell’s “You Should Be Here” (#5, =) complete the Top 5.
