Brothers Osborne’s “Stay A Little Longer” Earns #1 at Country Radio

The Mediabase country radio singles chart finally has a new number one.

Ruled by Thomas Rhett’s “Die A Happy Man” since the December 20-26 tracking week, the Mediabase listing this week recognizes Brothers Osborne’s “Stay A Little Longer” as its top song.

Up two places from last week’s position, the single is the first Brothers Osborne song to reach country radio’s apex.

Not simply the leader in Mediabase chart points, “Stay A Little Longer” also ranks as the Mediabase country panel’s most-played song. Based on preliminary data, Rhett’s tune, however, amassed a greater number of weekly audience impressions.

“Stay A Little Longer” received ~8,540 Mediabase-monitored spins and ~61.352 million Mediabase-monitored impressions during the January 17-23 tracking week. “Die A Happy Man,” which is #2 on the chart, received ~8,246 spins and ~61.799 impressions.

Up three places, Luke Bryan’s “Home Alone Tonight (featuring Karen Fairchild)” takes #3 on the chart. Sam Hunt’s “Break Up In A Small Town” is up one place to #4, while LoCash’s “I Love This Life” slips three places to #5.
