Twenty One Pilots’ “Stressed Out” Holds #1 at Alt Radio; Disturbed Still Leads Active Rock

The reign continues for twenty one pilots’ “Stressed Out,” which earns an eighth consecutive week atop the Mediabase alternative airplay chart.

Disturbed’s “The Light” meanwhile extends its active rock reign to four weeks.

— “Stressed Out” received 3,212 spins during the December 20-26 tracking week. While that trails the previous week’s count by 119, it easily ranks as the format’s greatest.

Cold War Kids’ “First,” which repeats as the runner-up, received 2,467 weekly spins (-90).

Cage The Elephant’s “Mess Around” (#3, = | 2,351, +6), Silversun Pickups’ “Nightlight” (#4, = | 2,141, -30), and Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats’ “SOB” (#5, = | 2,102, -64) complete the Top 5.

— For “The Light,” this week’s #1 position is attributable to the song’s 2,143 weekly spins (+120).

Five Finger Death Punch’s “Wash It All Away” (#2, = | 2,070, -182), Shinedown’s “State Of My Head” (#3, = | 1,551, +177), Halestorm’s “I Am The Fire” (#4, +1 | 1,403, +132), and Ghost’s “Cirice” (#5, -1 | 1,300, +24) also appear in the Top 5.
