Thomas Rhett’s “Die A Happy Man” Returns To #1 On Hot Country Songs Chart

Three weeks ago, Thomas Rhett’s “Die A Happy Man” grabbed the top spot on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.

The following week, it was overtaken by Chris Stapleton’s CMA Awards-boosted “Tennessee Whiskey.” Stapleton’s single retained the top spot on last week’s chart.

This week, “Die A Happy Man” returns to the apex. It spends a second, non-consecutive week as America’s hottest overall country song.

In addition to leading the all-encompassing Hot Country Songs chart, “Happy Man” also takes #1 on Country Digital Songs, #2 on Country Streaming Songs, and #10 on Country Airplay.

Without airplay to compensate for the unavoidable sales and streaming slowdown, Stapleton’s tune slips to #9 on this week’s Hot Country Songs chart. It still, however, appears impressively at #2 on Country Digital Songs and #5 on Country Streaming Songs.

As for the central Hot Country Songs chart, Chris Young’s “I’m Comin’ Over rises two places to #2 on this week’s listing. Sam Hunt’s “Break Up In A Small Town” holds at #3, while Carrie Underwood’s “Smoke Break” (#4, +1) and Cam’s “Burning House” (#5, +1) complete the Top 5.
