NBC’s “Blindspot” Already Renewed For Season Two

“Blindspot” needed only seven episodes to secure a second season renewal at NBC.

NBC announced that its breakout drama, which had already been picked up for an extended 23-episode first season, will be back for a second season in 2016-2017.

“We are over the moon with the success of ‘Blindspot,’ and want to thank our producers and amazing cast for creating one of the most riveting shows on television. Jaimie and Sullivan have done an amazing job of ratcheting up the tension each week in trying to unravel the mystery of Jane’s tattoos,” said Jennifer Salke, President, NBC Entertainment. “We literally can’t wait to see what the second season will bring.”

On a live+same-day basis, “Blindspot” has routinely ranked as its timeslot’s top broadcast network program in adults 18-49 (often by meeting or exceeding the combined total for the ABC and CBS competition). It has also been receiving significant lifts in delayed viewing and generally ranks as one of television’s top shows in terms of live+3 and live+7.
