Like the four episodes that preceded it, the fifth edition of ABC’s “Quantico” received significant boosts from time-shifted viewing.
Per Nielsen, the October 25 edition of “Quantico” posted a 1.5 adults 18-49 rating and reached 5.105 million total viewers on a live+same-day basis.
On a live+7 basis, which includes the initial broadcast and seven days of time-shifted viewing, the adults 18-49 rating improves to a 3.1 (+107%). The total viewership mark improves to 9.484 million (+86%).
In terms of percentages, the adults 18-49 rating lift ranks as the week’s third-greatest for broadcast programs. Only The CW’s “The Originals” (0.4 to 0.9, +125%) and NBC’s “The Blacklist” (1.4 to 2.9, up just over 107%) posted greater percentage gains during the October 19-25 broadcast week.
Its total viewership gain of 86%, meanwhile, represents the week’s greatest Live+7 boost.
In terms of raw gains, the +1.6 adults 18-49 boost tied for fifth-greatest (“Empire” led with a +2.4 boost). The +4.379 million viewership gain was also the week’s fifth-greatest (“Blindspot” led with a +5.612 million boost).
— Since the sixth episode faced additional competition from “The Walking Dead” and the World Series — and posted a series low 1.2 rating — intrigue exists over whether it enjoyed a greater-than-typical live+7 lift. Data for the October 26-November 1 broadcast week will be available next Monday.
