Ratings Update: ABC’s “The Muppets” Sinks By Another 24%

Final Ratings: ABC’s “The Muppets” once again endured a ratings decline.

Tuesday’s episode, which was the series’ fourth broadcast, posted a 1.3 adults 18-49 rating with 4.340 million viewers. The numbers trail those of the previous episode, which drew a 1.7 with 4.851 million viewers.

Following its 9/22 premiere, “The Muppets” has suffered three consecutive — and sizable — ratings declines.

ABC’s Tuesday lineup also included the following:
Fresh Off The Boat – 1.4, 3.958 million vs. last week’s 1.8 with 4.849 million
Agents of SHIELD – 1.4, 3.740 million vs. last week’s 1.6 with 4.318 million
Shark Tank re-run – 0.7, 2.359 million.

Update: For the third straight week, ABC’s “The Muppets” suffered a sizable ratings decline.

Fast national data confirms this week’s episode drew a 1.3 adults 18-49 rating with 4.497 million viewers. Both numbers trail those of last week’s broadcast, which achieved a 1.7 with 4.851 million.

Those numbers were, themselves, down markedly from those of the second episode, which greatly trailed the performance achieved by the September 22 premiere.

ABC’s Tuesday lineup also included the following:
Fresh Off The Boat – 1.4, 4.077 million vs. last week’s 1.8 with 4.849 million
Agents of SHIELD – 1.4, 3.720 million vs. last week’s 1.6 with 4.318 million
Shark Tank re-run – 0.7, 2.386 million.
==================

While the drop was not as sizable as that endured in weeks two and three, episode four of ABC’s “The Muppets” also suffered a decline in the overnight household ratings.

Per Nielsen metered market data, Tuesday’s episode drew a 3.1 overnight household rating.

The number trails the 3.3 posted by last week’s broadcast, which itself trailed the 4.2 and 5.8 posted by the two preceding episodes.

There is no guarantee that Tuesday’s episode also suffered a decline in adults 18-49 and total viewership, but the weakened overnight household rating nixes the notion that the show greatly rebounded in those columns.

ABC’s lineup also included “Fresh Off The Boat” (3.0), “Agents of SHIELD” (2.5) and a “Shark Tank” re-run (1.8).
