Ratings Update: The CW’s “iZombie” Falls to Viewership Low; “Flash” Holds Steady

Final Ratings Update: Final broadcast data is now available, and it confirms a series low viewership performance for “iZombie.”

Tuesday’s episode drew a 0.5 adults 18-49 rating with 1.222 million total viewers. The adults 18-49 rating ties a series low, while the 1.222 million viewership figure represents a new one.

“iZombie” had never previously drawn fewer than 1.45 million episodic viewers.

Last week’s broadcast drew a 0.7 with 1.530 million.

In addition to its usual slate of competition, this Tuesday’s episode also faced the highly rated democratic presidential debate.

— Lead-in “The Flash,” which aired prior to the actual debate (but faced highly rated pregame coverage), held steady in adults 18-49 this week. Like last week’s episode, Tuesday’s “The Flash” drew a 1.4 adults 18-49 rating.

Viewership was down slightly (from 3.584 million last week to 3.491 million this week).

Tuesday’s “iZombie,” which was the second episode of the second season, tied a series low in adults 18-49.

It slipped to a new low in total viewership.

Per Nielsen fast national data, the broadcast drew a 0.5 adults 18-49 rating with 1.379 million total viewers. While “iZombie” had previously posted a 0.5 demo rating, it has never drawn fewer than 1.45 million viewers.

Last week’s episode posted a 0.7 with 1.530 million viewers.

The CW led into “iZombie” with “The Flash.” After posting a 1.4 with 3.584 million total viewers for the season two premiere, “The Flash” this week drew a 1.3 with 3.318 million total viewers.

As it stands, that also represents a series low in total viewership (“The Flash” had never previously gone below 3.33 million). Since “The Flash” often receives an upward adjustment in the final report, however, there is a chance the series low distinction will not stand.
