Post Malone’s “White Iverson” Scores iHeartRadio “On The Verge” Boost

Post Malone’s “White Iverson,” which has already gained considerable traction at radio, is the newest iHeartRadio “On the Verge” selection.

iHeartRadio officially confirmed the news early Monday morning. While the announcement did not specify a format, it is believed the song’s “On The Verge” push will be geared toward rhythmic radio.

In addition to branding support across the iHeartRadio digital network, “On The Verge” selections also receive guaranteed airplay on iHeartMedia’s stations within the specified genre.

Notable in this case is the fact that “White Iverson” is already positioned inside the Top 20 on the Mediabase rhythmic airplay chart. Rather than assisting in the launch of “White Iverson,” the “On The Verge” program will thus serve to keep the song’s momentum alive.

If “White Iverson” is indeed the selection at rhythmic radio, it will be succeeding Rita Ora’s “Body On Me (featuring Chris Brown).” Afforded the push at the onset of its run in mid-August, “Body On Me” quickly reached the format’s Top 15. It failed to demonstrate staying power, however, and appears to be in a state of free fall.

“White Iverson” is being promoted by Republic Records. Republic was also behind Natalie La Rose’s “Somebody (featuring Jeremih),” which was the most recent “On The Verge” song to reach #1 at the rhythmic format.
