This weekend’s “Saturday Night Live,” which featured host Amy Schumer and musical guest The Weeknd, fell from last week’s season premiere in both households and adults 18-49.
Per Nielsen metered market data, Saturday night’s “SNL” drew a 3.9 overnight household rating. The number trails the 4.5 posted by last week’s Miley Cyrus-hosted premiere.
Data from the 25 markets with local people meters also reveals a decline — albeit a less significant one — in adults 18-49. Saturday’s edition of the NBC variety series posted a 1.9 adults 18-49 in those 25 markets; last week’s episode drew a 2.0.
In terms of a season-to-season comparison, the second episode of the 2014 season (Sarah Silverman-Maroon 5) drew a 3.9 overnight household rating and a 1.9 in adults 18-49. The year-ago episode, which was actually the third of the 2014 season, posted a 3.8 overnight household rating and a 1.8 adults 18-49 rating. It featured host Bill Hader and musical guest Hozier.
“SNL” returns next week with host Tracy Morgan and musical guest Demi Lovato.
