Sara Bareilles’ “She Used To Be Mine” Enters Hot AC Radio’s Top 50

Sara Bareilles’ “She Used To Be Mine” is knocking on the door of hot adult contemporary radio’s Top 40.

Spun 294 times during the September 27-October 3 tracking week (+256), the “Waitress” cut ranks as the Mediabase Hot AC panel’s #41 song. It held the #79 position last week.

The substantial week-over-week airplay gain is the second sign of radio’s warm reception to this release. The first came last Monday, when “She Used To Be Mine” ranked as the Mediabase Hot AC panel’s most-added song.

Barring a sudden — and highly unlikely — collapse, “She Used To Be Mine” should reach the Top 40 in time for the release of next week’s chart.

— While Nick Jonas’ “Levels” was originally identified as last week’s #50 Hot AC song, a mid-week revision resulted in a downgrade to #51.

By reaching #50 this week on the strength of its 171 weekly plays (+41), it therefore joins “She Used To Be Mine” in making an inaugural Top 50 appearance on this week’s chart.
