“WAGS” Officially Renewed For Season Two; E! Credits Young, Diverse Audience

Citing the show’s resonance with “young, diverse women,” E! confirms that “WAGS” has been renewed for a second season. Those episodes will begin airing in 2016.

While “WAGS” has not been a blockbuster performer in the live+same-day ratings (and, in fact, suffered a big decline last week), it receives a respectable uptick from DVR viewership.

More importantly, it boasts an impressive resonance with advertiser-friendly, young adult viewers.

On a Live+3 basis, each “WAGS” episode is drawing an average of 762,000 viewers; 568,000 of them fall in the coveted adults 18-49 demographic.

55% of its viewers fall in the women 18-34 demographic.

With a median viewer age of just 24, “WAGS” ranks as the youngest-skewing show on E!

It also delivers the network’s most diverse audience. The show fares particularly well with African American viewers, who comprise 59% of its A18-49 audience and 38% of its W18-34 audience.

“In its freshman debut, ‘WAGS’ has caught the attention of millions of viewers and become a fan favorite, particularly among young, diverse women,” says E!’s Jeff Olde. “With the return of the series, viewers will get an even deeper look behind-the-scenes of this exclusive celebrity lifestyle and unique point of view inside the world of sports.”
