A substantial number of country radio programmers pledged their allegiance to Brad Paisley’s “Country Nation” this week.
The support was sizable enough to earn Paisley’s new single the format’s most-added distinction.
“Country Nation” received adds from 58 Mediabase-monitored stations this week. That positions it atop the weekly country radio add board.
Thanks to pickups from 51 monitored stations, Jon Pardi’s “Head Over Boots” follows as the week’s second-most-added song.
“Real Men Love Jesus,” the follow-up to Michael Ray’s chart-topping “Kiss You In The Morning,” earns third-most-added on the strength of its 38 pickups. Rascal Flatts’ “I Like The Sound Of That” (33 adds) and Sam Hunt’s “Break Up In a Small Town” (13 adds) follow as fourth- and fifth-most-added, respectively.
Other notable country options: Zac Brown Band’s “Beautiful Drug” (12 adds, 6th), Dallas Smith’s “Kids With Cars” (11 adds, 7th), The Band Perry’s “Live Forever” (8 adds, 8th), Cassadee Pope’s “I Am Invincible” (7 adds, 9th), Little Big Town’s “Pain Killer” (6 adds, 10th, tie), Mo Pitney’s “Boy & A Girl Thing” (6 adds, 10th, tie), Scotty McCreery’s “Southern Belle” (6 adds, 10th, tie).
