Shinedown’s “Cut the Cord” Remains #1 at Rock Radio; Foo Fighters’ “Outside” Goes T10

While it suffered a slight airplay loss during the August 30-September 5 tracking week, Shinedown’s “Cut the Cord” was still the active rock format’s most-played song.

As a result, it earns a third-straight week — and sixth week overall — atop the Mediabase active rock airplay chart.

This week’s stint at #1 comes courtesy the song’s 2,105 tracking week spins (-51).

Spun 1,872 times during the official tracking week (+2), Pop Evil’s “Footsteps” rises into the runner-up spot. Disturbed’s “The Vengeful One” slips one place to #3 (1,745 spins, -178), while Five Finger Death Punch’s “Jekyll and Hyde” (#4, = | 1,729, +15) and Highly Suspect’s “Lydia” (#5, = | 1,641 spins, +4).

While the Pop Evil and Disturbed songs swapped places, all five songs also appeared in last week’s Top 5.

This week’s Top 10, however, did welcome one new addition.

Foo Fighters’ “Outside,” which appeared at #11 on last week’s chart, grabs #10 on this week’s edition.

It received 926 tracking week spins (+80).
