Rachel Platten’s “Fight Song” Holds #1 at Hot AC Radio; Imagine Dragons, Charlie Puth Go Top 15

As it inches closer to the Top 5 on the all-encompassing Billboard Hot 100, Rachel Platten’s breakthrough “Fight Song” remains the #1 song at hot adult contemporary radio.

Spun ~6,815 times during the August 16-22 tracking week (-203), “Fight Song” tops Mediabase’s Hot AC airplay chart for a fourth-straight week.

Ed Sheeran’s “Photograph” (~6,394, +106) retains the runner-up spot on this week’s chart. Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” (#3, = | ~5,989, -271), Walk the Moon’s “Shut Up and Dance” (#4, = | ~5,601, +44), and The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face” (#5, = | ~5,504, +403) complete the top five.

Neither the Top 5 nor the Top 10 welcomes a new addition this week. The Top 15, however, plays host to two arrivals.

Up three places, Imagine Dragons’ “Shots” claims #14 on the strength of its ~2,400 weekly spins (+75). Spun ~2,355 times during the tracking week (+212), Charlie Puth’s “Marvin Gaye (featuring Meghan Trainor)” rises four places to #15.
