Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood,” Rachel Platten’s “Fight Song” Claim Top Spots at Hot AC

A Taylor Swift song — and a song Taylor Swift helped promote — will claim the top two spots on this week’s Mediabase hot adult contemporary airplay chart.

Per the preliminary Mediabase report, Swift’s “Bad Blood” received approximately 6,878 hot adult contemporary spins during the July 19-25 tracking week (+43). That total will score “Bad Blood” a third week atop the Hot AC listing.

Spun approximately 6,804 times during the aforementioned tracking week (+476), Rachel Platten’s “Fight Song” will move into the #2 position on this week’s chart. It was #4 last week.

“Fight Song,” which received support from the iHeartRadio “On the Verge” program earlier this year, became a Taylor Swift favorite at the onset of the summer. The two sang it backstage at the Pittsburgh “1989 World Tour” stop and then on stage at the Philadelphia show.

Swift has also been spotted wearing a “This is My Fight Song” shirt.

Other songs slated to appear in the weekly Hot AC Top 5 are Wiz Khalifa’s “See You Again” (#3), Walk the Moon’s “Shut Up and Dance” (#4) and Jason Derulo’s “Want to Want Me” (#5). The final report will be issued Sunday evening.
