Fifth Harmony’s “Worth It” Also Goes Top 5 on Pop Songs; Re-Enters Top 20 on Rhythmic

Whether one looks at the Mediabase or Billboard pop airplay charts, he will find Fifth Harmony’s “Worth It (featuring Kid Ink)” in the Top 5.

Like it did on this weekend’s official Mediabase pop airplay chart, “Worth It” rises two places to #5 on the latest edition of Billboard’s Pop Songs listing.

Since OMI’s #6 “Cheerleader” is rising more quickly than “Worth It,” it stood a better chance of overtaking “Worth It” on the Billboard chart, which measures airplay from Monday-Sunday, than it did on Mediabase, which measures airplay from Sunday-Saturday.

Ultimately, however, “Worth It” held off the surging challenger. “Cheerleader” amassed 11,269 weekly spins (+1,820), while “Worth It” scored a narrowly stronger 11,280 (+1,080).

A new peak for the song, the #5 position is also a career high for Fifth Harmony, which had never previously cracked the Top 20.

Previous single “Sledgehammer,” which went as high as #19 on Mediabase, settled for a peak of #21 on Billboard.

In addition to rising on Pop Songs, “Worth It” also makes gains on the Billboard Rhythmic Songs and Adult Pop Songs charts.

Spun 1,438 times during the tracking week (+58), “Worth It” returns to its #20 peak on Rhythmic Songs (+2). A spin total of 643 (+81) brings Fifth Harmony’s tune to a peak of #33 (+2) on Adult Pop.
