Update: Singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran had an extensive involvement in Monday’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
In his first “Tonight Show” appearance since last year, Sheeran sat with host Jimmy Fallon for an interview, participated in an “Ed Sheeran Sings” sketch and sang his current single “Photograph.”

In recent weeks, Ed Sheeran has appeared on “Undateable Live,” the Billboard Music Awards and the season finale of “The Voice.”
That string of high-profile US television appearances continues Monday. The singer-songwriter appears as both an interview and musical guest on the latest edition of NBC’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
Monday’s episode marks Sheeran’s first “Tonight Show” visit since last June.
Taped Monday, the episode also features an appearance by actress Melissa McCarthy.
