Update: When voting for the top ten round of NBC’s “The Voice” came to a close, two contestants had songs in the top ten of the iTunes all-genre single sales chart.
Koryn Hawthorne’s “Make it Rain” was #3, while her Team Pharrell teammate Sawyer Fredericks held the #4 slot with “Iris.”
Per the voting rules, the vote counts (sales) for those songs will each be subject to a 10x multiplier bonus.
No other contestant secured such a bonus this week.
Here is how Monday’s performance numbers were positioned when voting came to a close:
3) Koryn Hawthorne – Team Pharrell – Make it Rain
4) Sawyer Fredericks – Team Pharrell – Iris
25) Meghan Linsey – Team Blake – Home
45) India Carney – Team Christina – Run to You
46) Hannah Kirby – Team Blake – Shout
52) Kimberly Nichole – Team Christina – Something’s Got a Hold On Me
78) Corey Kent White – Team Blake – Unwound
82) Joshua Davis – Team Adam – Hold Back the River

===========================
Last season, Team Adam contestant Matt McAndrew scored an iTunes multiplier bonus for his rendition of “Make it Rain.”
This season, Koryn Hawthorne is on track to do the same.
Following Monday’s widely praised performance, the Team Pharrell contestant’s take on “Make it Rain” began soaring up the iTunes all-genre single sales chart. By the time the west coast version of Monday’s Top 10 show came to a close, Hawthorne’s recording was already up to #5 on the chart.
If it can hold its Top 10 position through the close of voting at 12PM ET–and it almost surely will–it will receive the coveted 10x multiplier bonus.
Hawthorne is not the only contestant on track to receive such a bonus. Fellow Team Pharrell member Sawyer Fredericks, who earned a bonus for last week’s “Imagine,” is back in the top ten.
This week, he enters the mix with his take on “Iris.” As of press time, the song was #7 on iTunes and a virtual certainty to remain in the Top 10 through the close of voting.
No other performance is yet within the Top 30, let alone the Top 10.
The closest is Meghan Linsey’s “Home.” The latest performance from the Team Blake powerhouse is up to #34 on iTunes.
Her teammate Hannah Kirby is up next with “Shout” (#60), while “Run to You” by Team Christina contestant India Carney is up to #72.
The remaining songs are positioned as follows:
75) Kimberly Nichole – Team Christina – Something’s Got a Hold On Me
96) Corey Kent White – Team Blake – Unwound
102) Rob Taylor – Team Christina – A Song for You
111) Deanna Johnson – Team Adam – Somebody to Love
120) Joshua Davis – Team Adam – Hold Back the River
