Jason Derulo’s “Want to Want Me” is already one of the ten most played songs at pop radio.
According to Mediabase, the song received 8,864 spins during the week between April 1 and 7. That positions it at #10 on Wednesday’s edition of the rolling pop radio airplay chart.
If it can maintain its ranking through Sunday, it will secure a Top 10 position on Mediabase’s official chart and thus give Derulo his fourth straight Top 10 pop hit.
Will that indeed happen this week? The odds are strong.
While it is possible Flo Rida’s “GDFR (featuring Sage the Gemini and Lookas)” will leapfrog “Want to Want Me” (it received 8,662 spins during the aforementioned seven day period and has been gaining airplay at a faster rate), Pitbull’s #9 “Time of Our Lives (featuring Ne-Yo)” is in a state of free fall. By the end of the week, it will have slipped beneath Derulo’s track on the chart.
A multi-format release, “Want to Want Me” is currently #13 on the rolling rhythmic airplay chart and #25 on the rolling hot adult contemporary listing.
