Ratings: MTV’s “Eye Candy” Falls, Nearly Hits Viewership Low

The momentum MTV’s “Eye Candy” appeared to be developing last month has officially vanished.

Since posting a series high viewership total of 707,000 viewers on February 16, “Eye Candy” has endured a viewership decline in each subsequent episode. This week’s broadcast was no exception.

Monday’s “Eye Candy,” which was the series’ ninth airing, attracted only 525,000 viewers. Down from last week’s 579,000 mark, it was the second-lowest “Eye Candy” audience total on record. Only the January 26 episode, which drew 521,000 viewers, fared worse.

This week’s 0.24 adults 18-49 rating also represented a fall from the previous episode’s number (a 0.28).

Like the viewership mark, it was the worst for an “Eye Candy” episode since the January 26 installment. That episode delivered a series low 0.19 adults 18-49 mark.

Even that relatively poor performing January 26 episode, meanwhile, fared better in females 12-34. This week’s episode scored a series low 0.57 in that core MTV demographic.

The season (or series) finale airs next Monday.
