Taylor Swift’s “Style” is Most-Added at Pop Radio; Ellie Goulding, Nick Jonas Score

Taylor Swift’s new single is seemingly working to put radio impact dates out of style.

If one were to ask Republic about “Style,” he would hear that the song does not officially impact the pop radio format until February 10.

If one were to evaluate the format itself, he would see that “Style” is already establishing a monster presence.

The track, which is already in the Top 25 of Mediabase’s pop radio airplay chart, registers as the week’s most-added song. According to Mediabase, it landed at a whopping 68 new monitored stations.

At this point, attention now turns to the possibility that “Style” will close out the pop panel in advance of its impact date. It still has two weeks to command the remaining adds.

This week’s second-most-added song was last week’s most-added. Ellie Goulding’s “Love Me Like You Do,” which comes from the “50 Shades of Grey” soundtrack, picked up a healthy 57 stations this week. Already a Top 30 hit, “Love Me Like You Do” is looking like a force.

Nick Jonas’ new “Chains” follows as the week’s third-most-added song. It scored 48 adds in conjunction with its official impact. New York’s powerhouse Z100 appears on that list of 48.

Maroon 5’s red-hot Top 30 hit “Sugar” follows with 46 adds. I LOVE MAKONNEN’s “Tuesday (featuring Drake),” Kelly Clarkson’s “Heartbeat Song” and Lilly Wood & Robin Schulz’ “Prayer in C” then tie for fifth-most-added with 28 each.

Other popular options this week: Prince Royce’s “Stuck on a Feeling (featuring Snoop Dogg)” (8th-most-added, 24 adds), Calvin Harris’ “Outside (featuring Ellie Goulding)” (9th-most-added, 19 adds), Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud” (10th-most-added, 15 adds), Natalie La Rose’s “Somebody” (10th-most-added, 15 adds) and Usher’s “I Don’t Mind (featuring Juicy J)” (10th-most-added, 15 adds).
