Mark Ronson Pacing for 24K+ Album Sales; Ella Henderson to Move 18-20K

By now, the word is out: this week’s album sales picture absolutely belongs to Meghan Trainor.

According to Hits Daily Double, Trainor’s debut LP “Title” will move 185-195,000 copies in its first week of release and thus land comfortably atop the album sales chart. With Track Equivalent Album (10 single sales = 1 album sale) and Streaming Equivalent Album (1500 single streams = 1 album sale) included, its “equivalent unit” total (which informs the Billboard 200) will be a whopping 225-235,000.

In a league of its own from a sales perspective, Trainor’s album is not the only new entry this week.

The next-most-successful newcomer will be the “Kidz Bop 27” collaboration. Hits is eyeing a solid weekly sales total of 70-75,000.

Jazmine Sullivan’s new “Reality Show” is likely to move 27-30,000 in its first week (with 28-32,000 total Billboard units).

Mark Ronson’s new “Uptown Special” looks set for a modest pure sales bow of 24-27,000, but its scorching hot single “Uptown Funk (featuring Bruno Mars)” will assure a significant TEA+SEA boost. Its “equivalent unit” total could fall in the 60-65,000 range

Ella Henderson’s “Chapter One,” which debuts in the US this week, will follow with 18-20,000 sales and 27-30,000 total units.
