Ratings: “The Affair” Viewership Rises, “Homeland” Hits Another Season High

Leading out of Showtime’s continuously rising “Homeland,” freshman drama “The Affair” enjoyed improved viewership this week.

Sunday’s episode, which was the penultimate installment of the show’s inaugural season, attracted 837,000 viewers this week. While not quite on par with the show’s series high viewership mark of 877,000, the number bests that of last week by 10%.

Aiding the series’ cause was creatively revived drama “Homeland.” Enjoying its best reviews since its Emmy-winning inaugural season, the fourth season drama posted another season high viewership mark. This week’s episode drew 2.1 million viewers, which bests the 1.9 million attracted by the previous installment.

“Homeland” also concludes its season next week.
