Update: Damien will advance to the finals as this year’s wildcard contestant.
===========
As of Tuesday night, three of the four season seven “The Voice” finalists are confirmed. The fourth will be announced via unconventional means Wednesday morning.
Not willing to shackle its wildcard result to the Instant Save format, NBC’s “The Voice” did not reveal the lucky recipient of the last reprive Tuesday night.
It instead gave viewers until Wednesday at 3AM ET to vote via traditional means. The contestant who receives the most votes–be it Reagan James, Jessie Pitts, Ryan Sill, Anita Antoinette, Taylor John Williams, Damien, Sugar Joans, Luke Wade or DaNica Shirey–will join confirmed finalists Chris Jamison, Matt McAndrew and Craig Wayne Boyd in next week’s battle for the annual “Voice” trophy.
Host Carson Daly will reveal that contestant’s identity on Wednesday’s “TODAY” show.
Taylor John Williams and Damien, who competed in Monday’s semifinal show, were forced to try for a wildcard save after failing to receive enough votes this week. Semifinalists Jamison, McAndrew and Boyd were put through based on America’s support.
