Three of popular music’s most buzzworthy acts are due to take the “Saturday Night Live” stage.
NBC announced Thursday that Nicki Minaj, Charli XCX and One Direction will perform on the December episodes of its iconic variety show.
Minaj, who is gearing to launch new album “The Pinkprint,” performs on the December 6 episode. James Franco will host as promotion for his upcoming movie “The Interview.”
Charli XCX then takes the stage on December 13 in support of her album “Sucker.” Host Martin Freeman, meanwhile, will seek exposure for “The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies.”
2014’s final episode will welcome One Direction back to the “SNL” stage. The boy band provide music for the Amy Adams-hosted December 20 episode. Adams is promoting “Big Eyes.”
