Taylor Swift and Lorde at the VMAs
Perhaps the celebrity community needs to pay closer attention to Taylor Swift’s hit single “Shake it Off.”
Wednesday afternoon, DJ-producer Diplo, whom has been romantically linked to Swift’s supposed “Bad Blood” foe Katy Perry, pointed out the singer-songwriter’s lack of Kim Kardashian-esque curves.
“Someone should make a kickstarter to get taylor swift a booty,” cracked Diplo in a Twitter post. Re-Tweeted 1,500 times, the comment also inspired an actual “Get Taylor Swift a Booty” campaign on Fundly. As of press time, the campaign had raised $45 from 15 contributors.
Stepping in on behalf of her friend, singer-songwriter Lorde responded with an insulting Tweet of her own.
“@diplo should we do something about your tiny penis while we’re at it hm,” wrote Lorde. Despite being limited to the “replies” tab, her Tweet commanded 3,900 re-Tweets within an hour.
Lorde had previously praised the producer, who once issued a buzzworthy remix of her single “Tennis Court.” He also contributed to the Lorde-curated “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1” soundtrack.
