Sonic Highways
Foo Fighters’ new album “Sonic Highways” arrives this week with a multi-week number one single on its track listing.
“Something from Nothing,” that single, scores a third straight week at #1 on the Mediabase active rock airplay chart.
The recipient of 2,194 spins during the official November 2-8 tracking period, “Something” holds onto its top slot with comfort. Five Finger Death Punch’s “Wrong Side of Heaven,” which repeats as the week’s runner-up, earned only 1,720 spins during the aforementioned seven day period.
Also dominant from an audience standpoint, “Something from Nothing” should have no issue retaining its #1 slot on Billboard’s audience-driven Mainstream Rock Songs chart. The song scored 6.65 million impressions across Mediabase’s active rock panel, which bests that of the Five Finger Death Punch song by 1.651 million.
Other top five songs on this week’s Mediabase active rock chart: Slipknot’s “The Devil in I” (#3, 1,541 spins), Royal Blood’s “Figure it Out” (#4, 1,489 spins) and AC/DC’s “Play Ball” (#5, 1,276 spins).
