Taylor’s “Blank Space,” Iggy Azalea’s “Beg for It” Go Top 20 at Pop (Updated)

Update: Chart cleanup, including the de-listing of recurrent tracks “Rather Be” and “Boom Clap,” allows Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space” and Iggy Azalea’s “Beg for It” to land even higher on Mediabase’s official airplay chart.

On the strength of 5,469 official spins, “Blank Space” grabs the #16 slot. Iggy Azalea’s “Beg for It,” meanwhile, moves up to #18 thanks to its 4,418 spins during the November 2-8 tracking period.

Alesso’s “Heroes (we could be – featuring Tove lo)” also slides into the Top 20 this week. It claims #20 with 4,204 weekly spins.

Both Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space” and Iggy Azalea’s “Beg for It (featuring MØ),” were among pop’s twenty most-played songs during the November 2-8 tracking period.

Swift’s “Space,” which is also the format’s greatest gainer (+3,220 weekly spins), rises to at least #17 on the pop airplay chart this week. It commanded 5,471 spins during the aforementioned seven day tracking period.

Azalea’s “Beg,” meanwhile, goes at least as high as #20 this week. Its weekly spin count clocks in at 4,415, which represents a week-over-week gain of 1,922.

The two songs garnered weekly audience totals of 37.79 million and 27.09 million, respectively.

Mediabase’s official chart, which will reveal the songs that went “recurrent” (and thus whether anything else rises into the top 20 this week), is due by 9:15PM ET. An updated breakdown of the pop airplay chart will be shared at that time.
