Ratings: “New Girl,” “Mindy Project” Hit Season Highs in Viewership (Updated)

Update: While the viewership sums for “New Girl” and “The Mindy Project” were both adjusted down in the finals, they still represent season highs.

“New Girl,” which posted a 1.6 adults 18-49 rating, averaged 3.38 million viewers. “Mindy” drew 2.84 million to go along with its 1.3 adults 18-49 rating.

Earlier in the night, FOX aired “MasterChef Junior” (1.8 rating, 5.09 million).

It was the best-reviewed “New Girl” episode this season.

“Background Check,” Tuesday’s installment, was also the most-watched season four episode.

Returning from baseball-driven hiatus and now boosted by “MasterChef Junior,” FOX’s “New Girl” enjoyed a significant ratings uptick this week. Its adults 18-49 mark rose by 33% to a 1.6 rating, while its viewership hit a season high 3.42 million.

“The Mindy Project,” which led out of “New Girl,” also attracted a season high audience (2.91). Its 1.3 adults 18-49 rating tied the existing season high.
